Box Score Kara Poirier has never been a passing fancy on the Hamline women's basketball team. On Saturday, she entered an esteemed group as proof of that statement. The Eau Claire, Wis. senior had a pair of assists to move to 201 for her career and become just the seventh Piper player ever to top that mark.

Unfortunately, Hamline had little else to celebrate in an 87-57 loss at Gustavus Adolphus Saturday afternoon. 

Steph Pilgrim tossed in 24 points -- a season high -- but HU shot just 30 per cent from the field and fell a game under .500 in MIAC play at 3-4 (3-7 overall). 

The surprising Gusties, who are tied for frist place with a 7-0 league mark, shot to a 45-26 halftime advantage and kept the Pipers at bay the rest of the afternoon. 

Pilgrim was the only player to reach double digits scoring. Danielle Daniels pulled in a career high five rebounds. 

Poirier is four away from Angela Weinschenk, who recorded 205 from 1991-94. She has 19 in 10 games this season. At her current pace, she has a chance to finish as the number two all time player in that department. Shanna Torgerson recorded 226 from 1996-2000. Nikki Klinck (1907-11) , a former teammate of Poirier's, is the all-time leader at 298.
