Kevin Novakovich had the lone goal as Hamline men's hockey team fell to Gustavus Adolphus, 5-1, Saturday at Oscar Johnson Arena. Novakovich took a pass from Sam Leslie and nailed his team fourth goal of the season to lift the Pipers into a 1-all tie early in the second period.
Unfortunately, GAC came back to score twice -- including a goal with less than a second on the clock -- before the frame ended to grab a 3-1 lead. The visitors added two  more in the final frame to drop HU to 0-7-1 on the season, 0-2 in the MIAC.
John Sellie-Hanson had 25 saves in goal for the Pipers.
Hamline returns to action December 5 against Bethel.
