Box Score Je'Naya Brown (pictured) fired in 20 points but Concordia simply grabbed too many rebounds and claimed a 74-61 victory over the Pipers at Hutton Arena Saturday afternoon. Hamline (12-11, 12-8 MIAC) saw its six-game winning streak end with the decision. They also missed out on a chance to clinch a playoff spot when St. Olaf rallied for a win at Augsburg.
Hamline will bid for its first postseason position next Wednesday when they play their final home game of the season against Bethel.
HU got off to a rough start, trailing 14-2 after just five minutes. Brown and
Emily Behrman, who scored all eight of her point sin thefirst half, spearheaded a comeback that saw the Pipers lead by as many as six points before settling for a 32-30 mid-game edge.
The game rocked back and forth for the first 10 minutes of the second half. Then the Cobbers broke from a 47-all tie to scored a dozen unanswered points and never looked back. HU was outrebounded 53-32 for the game.
