2/9/2013 5:31:00 PM

Box Score Hamline's women's hockey team put up another terrific effort only to get thwarted in the end. A fdirst period goal by Sam Berger stood up for nearly 50 minutes before Concordia came back to tie the game and escape with an overtime goal for their second straight 2-1 victory.

Sarah Schneekloth stopped 36 shots in goal for the Pipers (5-12-4 overall, 2-10-2 MIAC).

Berger finished off a three-way play with Chelsea Koeh and Corinne Henning to give HU the early lead.

It lasted until 8:19 of the final period when the Cobbers 910-7-3, 9-4-1 MIAC) tied it up. They won it quickly in the extra session, scoring at 17 seconds.

Hamline returns to action next weekend with a home and home series against St. Catherine.
