The Mayville State transfer served up 81 assists Friday night as the Pipers split two matches. On Saturday, she nearly wrote her name into the record book with 53 assists and five service aces as Hamline defeated UW-Stout, 3-1, to end a successful weekend at the St. Catherine Invitational.Â
The Pipers improved to 7-5 overall. (Earlier in the day, they swept Crown, 3-0.) Caitlyn Gottwald, who was named to the All-Tournament team and Paige Walters led the offense against the Blue Devils with 13 kills apiece while Sam Greeney-Hamlin, the senior who is better known because she is a four-year player, added a dozen.
