The Hamline women's hockey team didn't lack effort ... or a lot of shots. But they couldn't find the back of the net in a 2-0 loss to St. Olaf Friday night at Warner Coliseum.

The Pipers outshot the Oles, 26-24, on the night but gave up a pair of third period goals to drop to 3-8-1 overall (0-6-1 MIAC). Hameline had two power play opportunities and came close on several occasions but STO goalie Cassie Alexander held firm. Chelsea Koehn was around the STO net all night and had eight shots on goal herself.

Katie Beckman was solid in the HU goal with 22 saves.

The teams meet again Saturday night in Northfield.
