Box Score

A tough first period put the Hamline women's hockey team into a hole early -- one that led to a 6-1 loss to St. Olaf in Northfield Saturday.

The Oles jumped to a 5-0 lead in the first period and never looked back to drop the Pipers to 3-9-1 overall (0-7-1 MIAC).

Jaci Reinke rallied the Pipers with an unassisted goal in the second period but STO replied before the end of the period with what proved to be the final goal of the night.

Reinke had four shots on goal, a figure topped only by Chelsea Koehn, who unloaded five. HU finished with 29 shots compared to St. Olaf's 38.

Hamline returns to action next Friday against St. Thomas at Warner Coliseum. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
