Box Score

St. Benedict  registered the first blow but Hamline's women's team responded with the second, third, fourth and fifth ones to record their second win in a row -- a 4-1 decision in St. Cloud Friday night.

Chelsea Koehn and Corinne Henning (pictured) scored twice each to help improve Hamline's record to 5-13-2 overall (1-10-2 MIAC).

Henning fed Koehn for a power play goal that tied the game at 10:05 of the first period. Five minutes later, Henning found the net to give HU the lead at 2-1. Koehn used the power play to her advantage for a second period marker. Henning put the capper on the night with an unassisted goal in the final minute of play.

Katie Beckmann was solid in goal again with 33 saves. The freshman, who stopped 19 shots in the first two frames, handled all 14 sent her way in the third session.

The Pipers, who are 5-0-1 in their last six meetings with the Blazers, will look for the sweep Saturday at Warner Coliseum.

Game time is 2:00 p.m.
