Chloe Graves added 10 for HU, which now stands 9-6 overall and 4-4 in the MIAC. The latter mark is good for a tie for fifth place in the league.
The nationally ranked Tommies improved to 15-0 overall (8-0 MIAC) by holding Hamline to 35 per cent shooting from the field (18-52). Sammons scored her team's first five points but fell awkwardly on her knee early in the first half. She returned to play 31 minutes as did fellow startersÂ
Emily Behrman (pictured) and Alex Peterson.  In addition to her points, the senior guard added five steals to improve her career leading total to 273. She is also 26 points shy of tyingÂ
Mary Wilkowski (2007-11) for the most points in school history. Sammons has scored 1632 points.
Her running mate Graves was tireless, playing 36 minutes. In addition to her points, she led HU with four rebounds and had a pair of assists.
Hamline trailed 35-18 at halftime. The Tommies scored the first 11 points of the second half. HU came back hard, cutting the lead to 18 at one point.
HU returns to action Wednesday, January 21 against Augsburg (8-7, 3-5) at Hutton. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
