Head coach Natalie Darwitz saw her team unload 31 shots at the Falcons, including three in the extra period, in her first college game behind the bench.

Goldberg, who tied Chelsea Koehn with six overall shots, had the lone HU goal. The junior opened the game's scoring, finihing off a three-way play with Haleigh Bolton and newcomer Jena Kosley for a power play tally at 11:15 of the second period.

Concordia tied the game two minutes later, the only shot (also on the power play) to elude Shefveland, who kicked away 34 shots. The game was even all the way. CU held a slight 11-10 first period edge and a 13-11 margin in the second. But each team took eight shots in the third and three in the overtime.

The teams meet again Saturday in Mequon. Game time is 3:00 p.m.
