Box Score Hamline's women's basketball team won the battle of the boards but couldn't find the net when needed and dropped a 76-58 decision at Northwestern in Roseville Saturday. Alex Peterson (pictured with ball) and Chelsey Bonsante had nine rebounds each  and Emily Behrman contributed eight as HU held a 40-39 edge over the Eagles. 

Chloe Graves was relentless, playing all 40 minutes and scoring 20 points. Bonsante contributed 13 and Tia Diggins had her first double digit game with 10 markers. But HU shot 29 per cent from the field overall and couldn't hold off the Eagles, who improved to 2-2 on the season. 

The Pipers held tough in the first half, trailing just 35-32 at the intermission. The Eagles outscored the Pipers, 15-8, in the third quarter to push the lead to double digits and the Pipers couldn't catch up. 

Hamline continues a seven game road trip with a game at UW-Stout on Tuesday in Menominee, Wisconsin. Game time is 6:00 p.m.
