Box Score It was exactly the sort of game that helps a team feels ready for the conference season. Hamline's women's basketball team grabbed the lead early and never let up, defeating Crown 83-55 in St. Bonifacius, Minn. Monday night. 

The 1-2-3 trio of Chloe Graves (21 pts., seven rebounds, five assists), Chelsey Bonsante (20 pts.) and Alex Peterson (pictured with ball, 17 pts, six rebounds) led the charge as HU improved to 1-4 overall with a 47 per cent shooting night and a 37-33 edge in rebounds. 

The Pipers trailed just once in the game at 7-6. They shook that off to score 23 of the game's next 25 points for a 29-9 lead and never looked back. It was 42-24 by halftime. The Storm rallied slightly to cut the margin to 57-45 after three quarters but HU went on another rampage in the fourth quarter for the win. 

In addition to the above threesome, Tia Diggins added seven rebounds and four assists. 

Hamline now turns its attention to the start of MIAC play with a pair of potentially rugged road games. They travel to Macalester (3-2 in non-con action) Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. They visit St. Catherine (5-0) Saturday in a 3:00 p.m. game.
