HU held the Oles to just 28 per cent shooting from the field -- their best defensive effort of the season. But the visitors clamped down ever harder and held HU to 25 per cent offense. Add in that the Oles went 13-23 from the free throw line while the Pipers were just 3-5 and you have the difference in the game.Â
The first quarter set the tone for the day. There four ties en route to a 12-12 deadlock after 10 minutes. The Oles scored six of the first eight points in the second stanza but HU rallied and went ot the locker room down by just 22-20. They started the third quarter with three pointers byÂ
