Box Score The HU women's hockey team took a lot of shots Saturday -- 25 of them, to be precise -- but St. Thomas goalie Mackenzie Torpy refused to budge and the Pipers ended up with a 3-0 setback at the hands of the Tommies in Mendota Heights Saturday.Â
The first place Tommies scored once in the first period and twice in the second to improve to 6-1-1 overall.Â
Jessica Cole knocked away 28 shots in goal for the Pipers (4-4-2, 3-2-1 MIAC).Â
Dana Almquist andÂ
Jena Kosley had four shots apiece for HU. As was the case the night before, HU played a strong first period with each team recording nine shots on goal. UST, however, scored late in the period and then added two more in the middle frame.Â
The Pipers have one game remaining before the holiday break. They will host Finlandia in a non-conference game on Saturday, December 12 at Oscar Johnson Arena. Game time is 2:00 p.m.
