Box Score Charlie Adams and Brandon Zurn continued their assault on opposing men's college hockey goalies. But they needed some help from Jesse Kessler to help the Pipers gain a 3-3 OT tie with UW-River Falls at Hunt Arena Tuesday night.

The defenseman (pictured) finished off a three-way play with Adams and Zurn for a power play with 7:13 remaining in regulation time to cap a third period comeback and improve the Pipers' overall record to 4-5-3.

Adams had the other two HU goals and Zurn had assists on all three tallies to inch closer to 100 points for his career. Both remain tied for the lead among all D-III players with 25 points this season. Zurn (11 goals, 14 assists in 2015-16) now has 95 points for his four year,  91-game career at HU.  A senior like Zurn, Adams (10 goals, 15 assists)  is in just his second season here. But he has already contributed 59 points in 39 career games, a total that lands him 18th in school history.

The Pipers took the play to the Falcons most of the night, holding a 38-29 edge in shots on goal. WRF struck first with Adams evening matters later in the first period on a power play goal. WRF scored late in the first period and early in the third for a 3-1 lead. Adams and Zurn, who are both from Mahtomedi, Minn. teamed up a second time to make it 3-2. They then fed Kessler, who tied the game.

That didn't end the drama. In the overtime, there were three power plays with HU goalie Justin Quale, who finished with 26 saves, keeping the deadlock intact.

Hamline returns to action Saturday when they travel to UW-Eau Claire Saturday night. Game tims is 7:00 p.m.
