Women's BB Loses Finale

Box Score Hamline's women's basketball team ended the season on a tough note, dropping an 81-47 decision at St. Thomas Saturday. Chelsey Bonsante (23) led the Pipers with a dozen points. Jordan Sammons, the conference's leading scorer, returned to action after missing four games with a hand injury. The senior guard played 27 minutes, scoring 11 points to finish her career with 1,741 as Hamline's all-time leading scorer. She had a steal and tied for the game high lead in rebounds with six. She is the school's all-time leader in thievery with 288 and finishes fourth in rebounds with 821 career boards. 

In addition to Bonsante (who also had six rebounds) and Sammons, Chloe Graves added 10 points. 

The Pipers hung with the undefeated Tommies for most of the first half, trailing 40-27 at the intermission. Hamline, which won just seven games in 2013-14, finishes the year with a 12-13 overall mark, 7-11 in the MIAC. 

In addition to Sammons, it marked the final college game for guards Makenzie Lee and Krystina Rasmussen
