Box Score Hamline scored the first goal and last goal in regulation time. Unfortunately, St. Benedict got the overtime marker and dealt the Pipers a hardluck 3-2 loss Thursday night in St. Cloud. Jordan  Verleye and Kelsey Rafferty garnered the HU markers and Mary Shefveland knocked away 38 shots in goal but HU fell to 3-15-2 overall, 1-10-2 in the MIAC.

Verleye took a pass from Jaci Reinke and nailed a power play marker 11:30 into the game for her eighth goal of the season. The senior now ranks fifth all-time in goals (33) and points (63).

The Blazers scored twice in the second period to grab the lead but Rafferty responded for the Pipers at 13:51 of the final frame to force the overtime. 

The teams will face each other Friday night at Oscar Johnson. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
