Jordan Steward leaped far.
Ryan Peterson ran down several long distance opponents and
Tom Larson just sped by most of the field. That trio -- and others -- had big days as Hamline men's track/field team shone brightly at the HU Invite at Klas Field.
Steward made the biggest impression in the non-scoring meet, winning the Triple Jump with a 43-00.50 effort. He also was fourth in the High Jump. Peterson made his 5000 Meter debut for 2015 a good one, coming in fourth overall but with the thirds best time thsi year by a MIAC long distance runners. Larson was the top MIAC finisher in the 100 meters. He also was fourth in the 200 Meters.
Other notable efforts included:
Ronnie Stimson coming in third in the Steeplechase;
Jacob Pederson's sixth place showing in the 400 and
Isaac Krause (800 Meters) and
Chase Duwenhoegger (Shot Put) finishing seventh.
