Multiple Men's Track & Field Athletes Earn 2026 MIAC Outdoor Track & Field Conference Honors

SAINT PAUL, Minn. --- Hamline University men's track and field sophomore standout Isaiah Watson (Fridley, Minn.) earns 2026 MIAC Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year, MIAC All-Conference honors in triple jump and Honorable-Mention honors in the long jump. Pole vaulter Austin Schloeder (Buffalo, Minn.) also earned MIAC All-Conference honors. Senior sprinter Andrei Pettis (Fridley, Minn.), senior Josiah Budiman (Plano, TX), junior hurdler Morris Suah (St. Michael, Minn.), sophomore Nelsen-Manfred Poscher (Circle Pines, Minn.), and first year thrower Dillion Thurston (Minneapolis, Minn.) and the 4x100 meter relay team of Poscher, Rufus Zulu (Brooklyn Center, Minn.), Pettis, and Jukari Blackshere (Miami, Fl.) earn MIAC Honorable-Mention honors this season, announced Thursday, May 14. 

Watson was selected MIAC Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year after setting new program and facility records in the triple jump with a leap of 15.32 meters. His record jump broke a school record set by Dietric Williams in 1994. Watson's mark currently ranks second in NCAA Division III this season. He also picked up honorable mention honors with a long jump of 6.76 meters. Watson is the first Piper to be voted MIAC Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year since Brennan McKeag in 2011.

Schloeder earned All-Conference honors, placing second in the men's pole vault by clearing 4.60 meters. His season best vault of 4.81 meters currently ranks 37th in NCAA Division III this season. 

Pettis earned Honorable-Mention honors in the 100 meter dash, placing fourth with a time of 10.65 seconds, a mark that currently sits at No. 67 nationally. 

Budiman earned MIAC Honorable-Mention honors in the long jump, placing fifth just above teammate Watson with a season-best leap of 6.79 meters. 

Suah, competing in the 110-meter hurdles, placed sixth for MIAC Honorable-Mention honors with a time of 15.41 seconds.

Poscher earned Honorable-Mention honors with a breakthrough weekend in the 400-meter dash, dropping nearly a second off his previous best to finish fifth in 49.63 seconds. 

Thurston placed sixth in the hammer throw in his first MIAC Outdoor Championships to earn MIAC Honorable-Mention honors with a throw of 49.59 meters. 

The the 4x100 meter relay team of Poscher, Zulu, Pettis, and Blackshere placed sixth to earn MIAC Honorable-Mention honors with a time of 42.91 seconds.
