Lilli Denison finished her 2015 season in impressive, registering her team's lone decision in an 8-1 loss to St. Benedict Saturday at Holt Courts. The Pipers' five-match winning streak was put to an end in the season finale.
Denison shook off a 1-6 first set loss in her No. 5 singles match to win the second set, 6-2, and then take the tiebreaker by 10-3. The sophomore finished with a 9-9 won-loss mark in singles. OnlyÂ
Jordan Danielson (10-9 at No. 2 singles) ended up with better numbers. Â
Emily Wollmuth lost a 7-6 first set on a tiebreaker at No. 6 singles.Â
Maggie Gibson, playing at No. 4 singles, dropped a 7-5 first set.Â
Hamline finished the season with an 8-11 overall mark, tying the school record for victories. They were ninth in the MIAC with a 2-8 record. The Pipers graduate just one player --Â
