Mariah Gallagher finished in 30th place to lead a tightly bunched group of Hamline runners at the Luther Invitational in Decorah Iowa Sept. 12.
The sophomore ran the 5K course in 20:59.2. That was four seconds faster than freshman
Meg Griffin, who came in 32nd in her first college race
. Brenna Kennedy, a senior, was right behind Griffin at 21:03.9.
Sarissa Falk was 38th (21:15.3) with
Alyssa Nash rounding out the top five at 41st (21:17.5).
As a team, Hamline scored 116 points to place fifth in the six team field.
The Pipers hit the courage again on Sept. 26 when they compete in the prestigious Roy Griak Invitational at the University of Minnesota.
