10/18/2016 5:17:00 PM

Box Score Welcome back, Anna Futterer. It's great to see you healthy and kicking again. The junior forward scored twice Tuesday as Hamline's women's soccer team guaranteed themselves of a winning season with a 4-0 win over Martin Luther in New Ulm. Arendje Louter scored for the third straight game and Jackie Stubbs added her first collegiate goal as the Pipers improved to 9-5-1 overall.

Amy Ramras added to her school record with her 17th career shutout and 20th victory in goal.

Futterer scored four goals as a freshman in 2014. An injury limited her playing time to a single game last year. She's healthy again and connected on her third and fourth tallies of the year Tuesday.

The Minneapolis, Minn. native started the year hot with goals in the season's first two games. She had been kept off the score sheet since then until she converted a Rachael Nelson pass in the game's sixth minute. Louter rifled in her seventh of the year  (tying Kaley Roberts for the team lead) on a feed from Jensen Sevening at 38:29.

In the second half, Futterer struck again, this time on a pass from Malya Hirshkowitz. Stubbs, playing in just her third game of the season, headed a ball in with two minutes remaining to cap the scoring.

The Pipers were on the attack all day, outshooting the Knights by an overall margin of 28-3. Louter led the way with six attempts. Futterer, Hirshkowitz and Teylen Sheesley added four each.

The nine overall wins are the most by a Hamline women's soccer team since 2013.It also guaranteed that the Pipers will finish over .500 for the season. HU has been .500 or better for five of the past six seasons.

Hamline heads back to MIAC action Saturday, October 22 against St. Benedict. Game time at Paterson Field is 1:00 p.m.
