Jordan Danielson (pictured) and Maddie Muotka know how to get a tennis season off on the right foot. Both won their singles matches in impressive fashion and teamed up for a win at No. 1 doubles as Hamline defeated Concordia, 7-2, Saturday in Fargo.Â
Danielson, a junior, was dominant in a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles. Muotka, a freshman, went one better with a pair of 6-0 wins at No. 3 singles. Together, they earned an 8-3 win.
Lilli Denison, Elizabeth Hughes and Maggie Gibson also scored singles wins with the No. 3 doubles tandem of Emily Wollmuth and Kate Johnson blitzing their way to a 8-0 decision.
Hamline returns to action February 11 against Carleton in Lakeville. The match begins at 6:30 p.m.
