Chase Duwenhoegger is rounding into form. Come to think of it, so are Tom Larson and Dylan Olson. The trio led Hamline at the TomCat Invitational, a nonscoring meet held Thursday at O'Shaughnessy Stadium on the UST campus.
Duwenhoegger won the Shot Put competition, throwing 53-4 1/4. That beat his previous best effort by more than two and a half feet and is the top throw this season by a MIAC shot putter. it also should end up among the top ten in the country for D-III. Duwenhoegger had some competition from his teammates. Travis Jacobson was fourth (52-4 1/2) and Mitchell Maday was fifth (48-2 1/2).Â
On the track, Olson has the top time this year by a MIAC sprinter in the 110 Hurdles, finishing second in 15.20 seconds. Larson was fourth in the100 Meters but his blistering time of 10.82 seconds is third best in the MIAC and should be a Top Ten time when the new info comes out next week. He also was fifth in the 200 Meters (23.16).Â
