Lilli Denison and Maggie Gibson scored singles victories Monday and stayed over the .500 mark for the season for the Hamline women's tennis team. The pair joined the doubles team of Maddie Muotka and Natalie Pieterick in the winner's circle in a 6-3 loss to St. Olaf at Holt Courts.
Denison, playing No. 4 singles, scrapped her way to a 6-2, 2-6, 10-8 triumph while Gibson, at No. 6 singles, recorded a pair of 6-3 wins. Denison is 8-7 on the season while Gibson improved to 9-7.
Muotka and Pieterick paired up for the first time this season, scoring an impressive 8-1 win at No. 3 doubles.
Hamline is 5-11 overall, 1-7 in the MIAC. They will face Wis-River Falls Wednesday at Holt Courts. The match begins at 4:00 p.m.
