James Logan's ninth place finish got things going in the right direction for the Hamline men's cross country team at the Roy Griak Invite Saturday.
Sam Bell,
Anthony Paladie,
Kyle Mehrhof and
Fernando Benitez did the rest as the Pipers ran to a fourth place finish in the D-III competition at the prestigious meet held at the U of Minnesota.
Logan, a senior, toured the 8K course in 28:19.4.He was less than two seconds out of eighth place in the 98-runner field.
Bell, a freshman, was 17th (29:03.5) and his junior teammate, Paladie, right behind him in 18th place with a 29:04.1.  Mehrhof was 22nd in 29:15.3 with Benitez checking in at 31at place (29:30.8).Â

The harriers continue their prep for the MIAC meet at the end of October when they run in the St. Catherine Invitational on Saturday, October 8.Â
