MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — The Hamline University cross country teams were back in action Friday, Sept. 18 at the Roy Griak Invitational, hosted by Minnesota at the Fort Snelling Golf Course.

On the women's side, senior Anabel Bradley again led the Piper women, running a personal-best 24:15.3 to place 184th overall. Junior Tessa Meyers followed with a personal best of her own, crossing in 24:41.8 for 197th, while senior Brooke Baumann rounded out Hamline's top three in 25:06.8 for 208th.

Junior Briyanna Burkhardt took 224th in 27:11.5, and senior Savannah Janes completed the Piper scoring five with a personal-best 27:56.0 for 228th.

Also competing for Hamline were freshman Grace Laszlo (28:29.4, 230th), junior Lilli Carpentier (28:57.1, 233rd) and senior Adrienne Karpen (32:35.4, 239th).

On the men's side, sophomore Jayden Rentz paced the Piper men for a second straight meet, clocking a personal-best 28:27.0 to finish 178th overall. Freshman Vaughn Watts was next in 183rd (28:52.5), followed by freshman Hunter Heinz in 199th (30:26.0).

Sophomore Brady Sullivan placed 203rd in 32:07.5 and senior Jasper Roetter Gresback took 206th in 33:13.8 to round out Hamline's scoring five. Sophomore Aye Roh Htoo closed out the Piper effort with a personal-best 33:22.0 for 209th.

Hamline returns to action Oct. 3 at the DIII Pre-Nationals/Running of the Cows in Northfield, Minn.
