Box Score In the middle of her first season with the Hamline women's basketball team, Alaina Quaranta (24)  has quickly become one of the team's go-to players. The Eau Claire, Wis. guard, a sophomore transfer, led the team with 14 points in a 78-53 loss to St. Catherine at Hutton Arena Wednesday night. Chloe Graves added nine and Reilly Geistfeld chipped in with eight. Geistfeld and Ivannie Robertson topped the boards for HU with six apiece.

HU trailed by just 13-10 after a quarter. The Wildcats, who are 10-4 overall, went on the prowl at the start of the second session, scoring 18 unanswered points to put the Pipers into a hole that was too big to climb out of.

Hamline played SCU fairly even in the second half with Geistfeld scoring all her points in the final 20 points and Kaeli Stayer scoring seven as well. Quaranta's big game moved her into the team lead for scoring at 11.4 points per game

Hamline is now 5-9 overall, 2-5 in the MIAC. They play their next three games away from Hutton, starting Saturday at nearby Macalester. Game time is 1:00 P.M.
