Box Score Alaina Quaranta led a furious second half rally that fell just short and the Hamline women's basketball team had to settle for a 73-65 loss to Concordia Saturday at Hutton Arena. Quaranta, a sophomore guard, scored 19 points and Chloe Graves added 11 as HU chopped a 16-point deficit to just two with 2:18 to play. But the Cobbers forced a pair of turnovers and hit the ensuing free throws to drop Hamline to 5-8 overall, 2-4 in the MIAC.

The visitors led most fot he way, starting with a 21-15 edge after a quarter and a 38-31 bulge at halftime. CC upped the lead to 57-47 after three quarters and seemed in command at 67-51 with eight minutes left.  Quaranta (24) scored half of the points in a 14-0 Piper run that made the score 67-65. That was as close as HU would get to the lead.
