Box Score Home ice was not pleasant for the Hamline Pipers' men's hockey team Saturday. Gustavus Adolphus jumped to a 2-0 first period lead and kept HU at bay all night to record a 4-1 victory at Oscar Johnson Arena Saturday. The Pipers dropped to 1-2 in the MIAC and 3-4 overall with the loss.
Justin Quale was kept busy in the HU goal, making 23 saves -- 11 in the first period alone.
Mitch McPherson scored the lone HU goal -- his team-leading sixth of the season -- in the final minute of play with Quale pulled for a sixth attacker.
Next up, Hamline welcomes the Falcons from Wisconsin-River Falls to Oscar Johnson on Tuesday, November 21. Game time is 7:15 p.m.
