Box Score Alaina Quaranta continued her scoring surge with 18 points and
Kaeli Stayer added 15 for Hamline's women's basketball team in a 106-63 loss at Gustavus Adolphus Saturday. Quaranta, a sophomore, leads the Pipers with a 12.2 points per game average. She recorded her 10th straight double digit game for HU. Stayer, a freshman, hit three three-pointers in recording her second best single game effort of the season.
The Gusties, who lost for the first time this season last Wednesday, came out shooting, grabbed a 29-14 first quarter lead and never looked back. The Pipers show 42.6 per cent from the field, making 20 of 47 tries. In addition to Stayer, Quaranta and
Chloe Graves nailed two each from three-point range. The Gusties, however, held a 46-25 edge in rebounds and a 16-8 advantage in steals.
Reilly Geistfeld led the Pipers with five boards and
Morgen Coleman was the top playmaker with four assists.
Hamline is now 5-16 overall, 2-12 in the MIAC. HU plays at St. Thomas on Wednesday, February 8. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
