Balanced Offense Leads Lacrosse To First MWLC Win

Box Score The Hamline lacrosse team made quite a first impression in their first MIdwest Women's lacrosse Conference game. 10 different Pipers scored as the Pipers heated up Klas Field with a 17-2 win over Cornell in their first league game. Lexus Tatge, Dani Perry and Kalley Elwell led the way with three goals each while Sydney Dynneson added two goals and two assists. The Pipers kept their record at Klas in their brief history perfect at 7-0 and improved to 2-1 on the 2017 season. 

Elwell got things headed in the right direction with two goals 26 seconds apart in the first 2:09 of play. Tatge followed with tne next two just 21 seconds apart and HU was off and running. Dana Almquist, who leads the team with eight goals, added a fifth tally. Before the half ended, Perry and Dynneson added two each with Katie Pearson, Lindsey Jackman, Brayden Maass and Radian Lenz collecting singles for a 13-0 intermission edge. Elwell, Tatge, Perry and Alycia Monserrate Novotny connected in the second stanza. Molly Dionne and Katie Butler split the time with Dionne recording the win.

The Pipers face Dubuque in a non-conference game Sunday at Klas. Game time is 11:00 a.m.
