The women's soccer team lost their home finale to St. benedict, 3-0, Saturday at Paterson Field. After being held without a shot in the first half, HU took seven in the second stanza with
Jenna Sampson and
Siri Parker taking three each. But they could not solve CSB goalie Kendall Koenen. As a result, HU is now 4-11-1 overall, 1-8-0 in MIAC games. It was the final home game for seniors Kimberley Hatlestad,
Jensen Sevening and
Madison Putnam, who were honored in pregame ceremonies. Hatlestad, who has been sidelined this year with an injury, debuted in the starting lineup,
Melanie Hopkins started in goal, played the first 45 minutes and took the loss.
Lauren Sicora played the second half in the net. Each recorded five saves.
The Pipers finish on the road next week at Gustavus Adolphus (Oct. 24, 3:30 p.m.) and St. Catherine (Oct. 27, 1:00 p.m.)
