Box Score Jaycob McCombs' timing could not have been better. The senior broke a 3-all tie with 2:54 to go in the third period and lifted the HU men's hockey team to a 4-3 win at St. Mary's Saturday night.

Kerry McGlynn also scored for the Pipers, who avenged a home ice loss the night before and improved Hamline's overall record to 9-12-2, 4-8-2 in the MIAC.
McPherson and McGlynn scored four minutes apart in the second period to give HU a 3-1 lead. The Cardinals rallied to tie the game before McCombs took a feed from
Jesse Kessler (team high 15th assist) and nailed the deciding goal.
Evan Robert had 27 saves in goal to earn the victory.
The Pipers finish the season next week against St. Thomas. The teams play in Mendota Heights on Friday, February 16 (7:30 p.m.) and have a rematch at TRIA Rink on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 7:00 p.m.
