Hamline's volleyball team fell, 3-0, to Simpson on the first day of a tournament in River Falls, Wis. Friday. The first two sets were competitive with HU hanging with the Storm all the way before falling by 25-21 and 25-23 margins. The third set didn't go as well, a 25-13 loss.
Sydney Larson led the offense with 11 kills.
Madison Hurrle added nine and Morgan Coleman contributed eight and three service aces.
Megan Rubbelke had a very productive day with 28 assists and
Gabby Robinson was excellent on the back wall with 14 digs. The Pipers and Storm were virtually even in this department. Hamline had 55 to Simpson's 57.Â
The Pipers, 5-3 overall, face Wisconsin-Stevens Point (10:30 a.m.) and the host Falcons (2:30 p.m.) Saturday.
