Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

M Soccer Rated 8th in North Region Poll

For the third consecutive week, the HU men's soccer team is listed among the top 10 teams in the United Soccer Coaches' North Region Poll. The Pipers, 4-3 overall, are rated eighth - the same position they resided in last week.

Seif El-Fatairy, Stefan Kinsinger and Logan Weller tallied for the men's soccer team in a wide-open 4-3 OT loss to St. Thomas Tuesday at Paterson Field. The Pipers who had scored just once in their last three pierced the Tommies twice in the first 13:14 of play. El-Fatairy, a sophomore from Minneapolis, Minn., started things off on the right foot with an unassisted tally 10:15 into the game. Kinsinger then took a feed from Adam King three minutes later.

UST, rated 16th in the country (and No. 2 in the North Region poll), responded with offense of their own, scoring three times in 21 minutes for a 3-2 halftime lead.

The Pipers roared back in the second half. Weller finished off a three-way play with Alex Rouse and Jack Reddan to tie the game with 16 minutes remaining in regulation time. The visitors scored 2:18 into the first extra session to claim the verdict. Dean Isaacson had five saves in goal for HU, which now stands 1-2 in MIAC play.

Hamline is back in action Saturday, September 29 at St. Olaf. Game time in Northfield is 3:30 p.m.
