Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

W Soccer Falls To UST

The HU women's soccer team was held to four shots in a 4-0 loss to St. Thomas Wednesday at Paterson Field. The Tommies, the preseason favorite in the conference, scored twice in the first 28:14 of play and added two late goals to make the final margin appear wider than it really was.

Hannah Schatz (14), Jackie Stubbs, Jenna Sampson and Kaelin O'Fallon had the attempts for the Pipers, now 3-5-1 overall and 1-3 in MIAC play. Dani Wright added to her league leading total in saves with 11. The junior has stopped 62 for the season, a dozen ahead of her nearest competitor. The shorthanded Pipers were missing some starters sidelined by injury.

HU plays its next two games on the road, starting September 29 at St. Olaf. Game time is 1:00 p.m. The Pipers also visit Martin Luther on Wednesday, October 3 before returning to Paterson to host Augsburg on Saturday, October 6.
