Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

First Half Too Much for W Soccer

The women's soccer team fired nine shots at the St. Olaf net Saturday but a pair of goals late in the first half was too much to overcome in a 3-0 loss in Northfield Saturday. Jenna Sampson (26) had four of the Pipers' shot attempts in the game. HU dropped to 3-6-1 overall, 1-4-0 in MIAC play.

Dani Wright recorded 10 saves in goal to add to her league leading total of 71. Wright had seven of those in the second half to keep the Pipers' hopes afloat. But the Oles (6-2-1, 4-1-0 MIAC) held firm, recording four saves in their own right.

In addition to Sampson, Siri Parker had three shots with Jensen Sevening and Kaelin O'Fallon adding solos.

HU returns to the field on Wednesday, October 3 at Martin Luther in New Ulm, Minn. Game time is 4:00 p.m.
