The HU volleyball team finally gets to stay put for a while. When the Pipers face Augsburg Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p.m., it is the first of six straight matches in a two week span at Hutton Arena. Hamline (6-8 overall, 0-3 MIAC) has played just one match on their home court in 2018. They will look to use the balanced attack that has been present in recent matches.
On Friday,
Sydney Larson had nine kills and nine digs and
Madison Hurrle added eight kills in a 3-0 loss at Bethel. In the first set., HU grabbed an early 14-9 lead but BU rallied to tie things at 15. The teams split the next eight points before BU broke away for a 25-19 decision. In the second set, both teams traded points and leads early. With the score tied at 14, BU scored four unanswered points and held on for a 25-21 win. The Royals won the final set, 25-18.
Megan Rubbelke had a double-double with 29 assists and 10 digs.
Erin Leverington had a .333 kill percentage. Morgan Coleman and
Erin Tadych led the back wall brigade with 13 digs.
