Evan Robert recorded 27 saves and
Zack Taylor nailed his first goal of the season but it wasn't enough for the HU men's hockey team in a 2-1 loss at Wis-Stout Friday.
Taylor, a sophomore, took a pass from
Tyler Nyman and tied the game at 1 late in the first period. It remained that way until midway in the third when the Blue Devils broke the deadlock. Robert did his part, batting away 11 shots in the third period alone as HU sell to 2-12-1 overall.
Robert was pulled for a sixth attacker in the final minute of play but HU could not get the equalizer.
Mitch McPherson led Hamline's 20 shot assault with four.
Hamline remains on the road in the Badger state Saturday with a trip to Wis-Superior. Game time is 7:05 p.m.
