Hamline's men's basketball points had four players score 10 points or more but St. Thomas had too much offense and dealt the Pipers an 80-58 loss Saturday in St. Paul.
Connor Knutson topped the HU attack with 13 points with
Isaac Brooks,
Jake Larson and reserve
Will Hoiseth adding 10 each. Brooks and
Michael Dillon commandeered the boards with a team high seven rebounds apiece and Larson added seven assists for Hamline, now 7-5 overall. Their 4-3 MIAC standard has them alone in fifth place.
Brooks had eight of his points in the first half. The senior now has 927 points for his career.
HU stayed close early but a late run gave UST a 43-28 lead at intermission.
Hamline remains on the road on Wednesday, January 9 at Concordia. Game time in Moorhead is 7:45 p.m.
