The Pipers showed serious R & R in a 3-2 volleyball loss at St. Catherine.
Megan Rubbelke crept closer to 2000 career assists with 36 and added 14 digs and
Gabby Robinson had a team high 13 kills and 15 digs (plus four service aces) for the Pipers, who dropped at 12-12 overall (2-6 MIAC) with the heartbreaking setback.
Rubbelke's 863 assists in a season ranks seventh all-time in school history. She has 1997 assists for her three-year career here.
Morgen Coleman and
Maggie Gavic added 19 digs apiece for Hamline in the hard fought match.
HU started strong with a 25-19 first set win. The Wildcats won the next tro sets but Hamline turned things around with a 25-16 fourth set win. In the deciding set, HU rallied from a four point deficit to tie the set at 11, 12, and 13 until SCU managed the last two points to gain the win.
Hamline has little time to think about this one. They host St. Thomas (24-4, 8-0 MIAC) Saturday, October 26 at Hutton Arena. Game time is 3:00 p.m.
