The Piper volleyball team came out of the gate swinging Wednesday, grabbing an exhausting 27-25 first set victory over Augsburg at Si Melby Hall. The Auggies, however, swung back to win the next three sets by 25-17, 25-14, 25-21 scores to earn a 3-1 decision.
Sydney Larson was on the attack up front with a team high 11 kills.
Megan Rubbelke had a double-double with 34 assists and 14 digs.
Gabby Robinson was the top digger with 17 (her second highest output of the season) while
Karly Bihner (pictured) added 11 for her third straight double digit effort on the back wall.
Hamline is now 11-7 overall, 2-3 in the MIAC. The Pipers have a non-conference date on Friday, October 11 against St. Scholastica (11-4) at Hutton Arena. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
