LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Junior
Helen Dolan put up an impressive performance at the NCAA Championships on Saturday morning, placing 37
th out of 280 runners to become Hamline's third women's cross country All-American.
The Massachusetts native ran the 6k course in 22:10.8, which was six seconds shy of a PR. Her average mile time during the race was 5:56.9 and she finished only a second behind the 36
th-place runner and 0.1 second ahead of the 38
th-place runner.
Dolan is the team's first All-American in 10 years. Margot Branigan was last to earn the honor for the Pipers back in 2009.
Looking ahead to next season, Dolan is one of 14 runners who are expected to return for the 2020 cross country season, as the team did not graduate any seniors.
