The Hamline men's hockey team continues its late season offensive surge with four more goals,in their TRUIA Rink finale Friday night against St. Thomas. Unfortunately, the Tommies had just a little more offense and took a 5-4 decision.
Hu roared from behind twice before dropping to 4-18-2 on the season. Down 2-0 in the second period,
Tommy Hall made it 2-1 at 4:35 and brother Mitch followed suit five minutes later.
That set the stage for a wild third period. UST scored first but the Pipers snapped back with goals 14 seconds apart from
Brady Crabtree (27) and
Weiland Parrish to claim a 4-3 lead with 6:21 to play. The visitors evened matters 44 seconds later and then scored a last minute goal to take the decision.
Sam Nelson was busy in goal all night with 35 saves for Hamline.
Hamline, now 4-10-1, wraps up the season Saturday, Feb. 16 at St. Thomas Ice Arena. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
