M Hockey Felled In Last Minute

The Hamline men's hockey team continues its late season offensive surge with four more goals,in their TRUIA Rink finale Friday night against St. Thomas. Unfortunately, the Tommies had just a little more offense and took a 5-4 decision. 

Hu roared from behind twice before dropping to 4-18-2 on the season. Down 2-0 in the second period, Tommy Hall made it 2-1 at 4:35 and brother Mitch followed suit five minutes later. 

That set the stage for a wild third period. UST scored first but the Pipers snapped back with goals 14 seconds apart from Brady Crabtree (27) and Weiland Parrish to claim a 4-3 lead with 6:21 to play. The visitors evened matters 44 seconds later and then scored a last minute goal to take the decision. 

Sam Nelson was busy in goal all night with 35 saves for Hamline.  

Hamline, now 4-10-1, wraps up the season Saturday, Feb. 16 at St. Thomas Ice Arena. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
