W Tennis Goes Back Over .500 with Concordia Win

Natalie Pieterick, Courtney Fenech and Megan Anderson all recorded double wins as the Hamline women's tennis team won their second straight MIAC match, 6-3, over Concordia Sunday at Baseline Tennis Center. 

The Pipers moved back over the .500 mark at 9-8 overall by taking four of six singles matches and two of three doubles clashes. 

Fenech, playing at No. 1 singles, was nearly perfect in winning her match by duplicate 6-0 scores. Pieterick, playing at No. 3, also won  in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4. The duo then teamed up for a win at No. 1 doubles by an impressive 8-2 count. 

Anderson continued her second half run with a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 5 singles. The Eagan, Minn. native then joined Claire Witt at No. 2 doubles, 8-6.

The Pipers' scheduled April 16 match at Minn-Morris has been postponed. The next scheduled match is April 27 against St. Catherine on the latter's court.
