Christian Velishek and Jay Hendrycks made their last appearance of the 2019 outdoor season one that offers promise for the future. Velishek, a freshman, did a 6-5 in the High Jump to finish third at the Last Chance Meet May 16 at La Crosse, Wis. Hendrycks, a junior, finished third as well with a 159-9 throw in the Javelin. They were the top efforts by the HU crew in the nonscoring event. 

Eric Dols was fourth in the Hammer with a 181-5 throw. The senior is one of just eight D-III throwers to go over 200 feet in this event this spring and is expected to be in the field for the NCAA D-III Outdoor Championships when everything is announced early next week. Mitchell Maday was fifth in the Discus (153-10) and Dols was eighth in the Shot Put (51-3) at La Crosse. For complete meet results, click here. 

The MIAC announced its postseason men's track/field awards earlier in the day. In addition to the top individual award-winners, the MIAC recognized the 2019 Men's Outdoor Track and Field All-MIAC Sportsmanship team. Also listed below are the 2019 MIAC Men's Outdoor Track and Field All-Conference individuals and relay teams. The top three finishers in each individual event and each first-place relay team received All-MIAC honors. Individuals that finished 4-6 and relay teams that finished 2-6 received All-Conference Honorable Mention honors and can be found by clicking on this link.
