In their last prep for the MIAC Outdoor Track/Field Meet, Eric Dols and Jay Hendrycks showed there is such a thing as home field advantage.

The pair recorded victories in the cages behind Klas Field to highlight the men's track/field effort at the annual Meet of the UnSaintly Saturday.

Dols won the Hammer with a 190-3 throw and Hendrycks did likewise in the Javelin with a 163-02 effort.

The Pipers earned four second place finishes in the field that included D-I and II athletes -- Dylan Olson in the 110 Hurdles (15.71 seconds), Ben Sorenson in the 400 (50.28, just ahead of Alberto Mendez, who ran 50.58), Christian Velishek in the High Jump (6-05) and Thomas Amberg  in the Triple Jump (39-5).

There were several other top five finishes. In the hammer, Dylan Olson was third (173-11) and Mitchell Maday took fourth (168-5). Maday was also fourth in the Discus (149-3). Zach Angstman ran fourth in the 110 Hurdles (16.32). Matt Lorah legged out a fifth place finish in the 800 (1:58.79) and Luke Hulshizer claimed the same position in the Pole Vault (12-6).

The meet was unscored.
