Ashless Olson gave Hamline's women's soccer team an early lead but St. Benedict rallied to sneak out a 2-1 OT decision Saturday in St. Joseph. Olson finished off a three way play with
Hannah Schatz and
Cailey Schmitt 13:02 into the game for her second goal of the season. The lead lasted well into the second half until CSB tied the game. The Bennies then won it in the third minute of overtime to drop the Pipers to 2-4 overall, 1-2 in the MIAC.
Jenna Sampson had four of Hamline's eight shots.
Melanie Hopkins recorded nine saves in goal.
The Pipers get right back at it Sunday, September 22 against Minnesota-Morris. Game time at Paterson Field is 2:00 p.m.
