MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Hamline men's basketball team (3-12, 1-9 MIAC) fell to Augsburg (11-4, 7-4 MIAC) on the road on Monday night by a score of 92-59.

The Auggies shot 57.8% on the night, which the Pipers could not keep up with, posting a 33.3 shooting percentage of their own on the night.

Michael Dillon led HU in scoring in the game, putting up 18 points while also tallying seven rebounds. First year
Jake Veldman had a breakout performance for the Pipers, scoring a career-high 15 points while hitting five of six (83.3%) from three.

Luke Siwek helped out with eight points apiece while also combining for five assists on the night. Prince nailed three of his five shots throughout the game, including draining both of his three-point attempts. First year
Marshall Holland chipped in on the boards, tying Dillon's team-high seven rebounds.

A three from Veldman fairly early in the first half put the Pipers up 18-13 with 12:17 left in the first frame. However, the Auggies scored the next seven points to take over the lead. A pair of free throws from Siwek tied the game up at 20 apiece, but Augsburg once again responded, this time with a 10-1 run that put them up by nine. The Auggies would take a 45-29 lead into the break.

In the second half, Augsburg continued to build on their lead, claiming a 92-59 win. The Auggies were led by 2018-19 MIAC Player of the Year Booker Coplin who had 24 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists.

Hamline will continue their busy week with a pair of home games, first taking on Gustavus at home on Wednesday, before hosting Bethel this weekend. Wednesday's game will tip-off at 7:00 p.m. and the Saturday game will begin at 1:00 p.m.
